Why Giving Back is Important
"Giving back is important to me because the Rio Grande Valley is the community that raised me and provided many of the opportunities that helped shape who I am today. I'm fortunate to be in a position where I can give back in ways that make a positive difference, no matter how small. As a banker, I work with financial concepts every day that can sometimes seem unfamiliar or overwhelming to others - This has inspired my passion for financial literacy. I believe that sharing financial knowledge helps people gain confidence in making decisions for themselves and their families. I am grateful to play a small role in that journey.
For me, community involvement is about staying connected, supporting others, and helping contribute to the continued growth and success of the place I have always called home."

Why Giving Back is Important
"Giving back is important to me because this community has given so much to my family and I am deeply invested in its success. Through Rio Bank’s support, I have served the Edcouch Elsa Rotary Club since 2022 where I serve as Vice President of our club. I work alongside fellow community leaders to organize food collection drives, raise scholarship funds for local students, support teachers and develop projects that improve the quality of life for the families throughout our community. I also enjoy collaborating with local schools to present on financial literacy awareness to high school students getting ready to go to college."
