Direct Connect for Quicken®

and QuickBooks®

Starting December 5th, Quicken® and QuickBooks® users will be able to make use of the new Direct Connect feature. 

Rio Bank is introducing Direct Connect functionality within Personal/ Business Online Banking and Cash Management for Quicken® or QuickBooks® users. With Direct Connect, Quicken® or QuickBooks® communicates directly with your accounts at Rio Bank on your behalf. You don't have to sign into Personal/Business Online Banking and/or Cash Management and manually download transactions - Quicken or QuickBooks automatically does it for you..

Existing users will need to modify their Quicken® or QuickBooks® settings to ensure the smooth data transition with the following detailed instructions:  

 The conversion instructions reference two Action Dates. Please use the dates provided below:

1st Action Date: December 1st, 2023
A data file backup and a final transaction download should be completed by this date. Please make sure to complete the final download before this date because transaction history might not be available after the upgrade.

2nd Action Date: December 5th, 2023
This is the action date for the remaining steps on the conversion instructions. You will complete the deactivate/reactivate of your online banking connection to ensure that you get your current Quicken® and QuickBooks® accounts set up with the new connection.

Intuit aggregation service may be interrupted for up to 3-5 business days. Users are encouraged to download a QFX/QBOfile during this outage. The following services may not work during the outage.

  • Quicken Win/Mac Express Web Connect
  • QuickBooks Online Express Web Connect

Please carefully review your download transactions after completing the migration instructions to ensure no transactions were duplicated or missed on the register.
